The past week was a busy one for PVA!

Last Thursday, as mentioned in last week’s Weekly Update, the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) came to PVA.  It was an eye-opening experience for quite a few students.  Beyond the Paint proved to be an intriguing program!

Last Friday was a welcoming day for Philadelphia Virtual Academy held orientation for 15 new students– we’re growing!

That same day, Mr. Humes introduced the Chess Club, look for sign-ups to pop up soon!

We also held the Stamp Pass event at PAFA on Friday.

Yesterday, our former Student of the Month, Carmen Falu, represented Philly Virtual at the first “Youth Summits” held by Superintendent Hite.  Thanks for reppin’ PVA, Carmen!

Our first meeting to form a PVA School Advisory Council just wrapped up at 11am.  Stay tuned for details!

And finally, on Thursday, PVA takes another field trip to PAFA.  It’s safe to say that PVA is taking over PAFA!
