PVA Teen ELECT (Education Leading to Employment and Career Training)

Are you or someone you know a Teen Mom or Dad who is pregnant or parenting? 

ELECT is a program for expecting and parenting teen mothers and fathers.  ELECT offers FREE case management and supportive services to expecting or already parenting teen mothers and fathers to help them as students achieve their highest potential personally and academically, so they become successful parents and citizens.  The program provides the support they need to stay in school through graduation.

The program offers:
– Baby clothes, food, diapers, formula, pack ‘n play cribs, and car seats.
– Gift cards to Babies “R” Us, Target, Walmart, Shop Rite and etc.
– Access to quality child care.
– Job replacement.
– Field trips to the Philadelphia Zoo, Please Touch Museum, and Aquarium.
– Transportation Services
– Incentive for school attendance and grade improvement.
– Information and referrals to community resources.
– Parenting and child development education.
– Case management services.
– Academic support.

Student Responsibilities:
– Be enrolled in a school or GED program in Philadelphia.
– Participate in program activities at least 4 hours a month.
– Ensure home is available for quarterly home visits.
– Strive for 100% school attendance.
– Agree to complete school assignments and maintain grades
