PVA PAFA Takeover
After a long day of PSSA’s for some Philly Virtual students, PVA middle and high school students took a short subway ride over to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA).
There they took a tour of the newly established “Beyond the Paint” exhibit, detailing the story behind graffiti and the murals of Philadelphia, the mural capital of the world. The high school group learned about the government funded pieces of the Great Depression and modern stained glass exhibits.
Middle school students went through a similar tour and developed rough drafts of their own murals at the end.
It was a great day for PVA to reward students for working so hard on their PSSA’s. We look forward to going back to PAFA!
