On Thursday, PVA celebrated Black History Month with our third annual African American Read-In. Students gathered in the school district building atrium to hear spoken word performed by The Twin Poets, Nnamdi Chukwuocha and Albert Mills, and from their peers.
The Twin Poets are highly acclaimed poets from Wilmington, Delaware. As Delaware Poets Laureate, they have traveled the world performing poetry and sharing their story. The twins speak about violence, poverty, crime, and other issues that are important to discuss.
PVA students also had the opportunity to read original work or other poems they chose.
Thank you to The Twin Poets, student speakers, everyone who helped make this event possible.
