National Teachers’ Day

Happy National Teachers’ Day!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all PVA teachers!

We would also like to congratulate Lee Patterson on receiving the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching!

The Lindback Award is awarded to teachers who create a positive, supportive learning environment and foster a trusting relationship with students. Recipients of this reward motivate students and make learning relevant and fun. Lee Patterson is a PVA Math, English and Special Education teacher and she is always available and willing to provide support via phone, email, the Virtual Office or the Drop-In Learning Centers.

She studied accounting at Penn State University and worked as a CPA, auditor and systems analyst for 25 years before a newspaper article inspired her to go back to school and receive a master’s degree in education.
